As the anniversary of psvita launch Also code-named NGP passes us once again. One thought comes to many owners past and present, “Is there a good psvita alternative now?”.
When coming up with the list I’m keeping in mind the companies behind the handhelds too. So consumers will know that the devices will be supported in the future versus being one and done after release.
Here is a list of good or close psvita alternatives:

Note: Most of the systems are open sourced or can be modified to run none supported code. It can open the system to be able to run more console games but done so at your own risk.
Now keep in mind every system here has their pros and cons. At this moment there isn’t a exact Psvita replacement, yet we are getting closer to that point. The market is a lot different now then when the Psvita launched as there wasn’t many devices that could match the performance or playability of the system besides its competition, the 3ds. Today, most phones and handheld pcs can emulate the Psvita due to the effort of the team behind Vita3k. We may see a one to one feature clone in the future after Sony sunsets the PS vita economy system and makes it playable on newer systems,
At the time of this article most if not all the Psvita library has been archived/backed up to the internet. So access to game library is available and users of a modified Psvita can back up their games now.
