You might remember developer Twisted, the man who modded the PS4 Remote Play application for Android. Twisted’s Remote Play mods made the official Sony app compatible with more Android devices.
PS4 Remote Play PC lets you use the PS4 Remote play functionality…on your PC
As a side project of the Remote Play app for android, Twisted has been working on PS4 Remote Play PC for quite some time now. He’s been reverse engineering the Sony android app and porting it to PC. His goal: being able to Remote play your PS4 directly from your PC.
Twisted had been sharing some videos between May and July. His first video was showing that he got Video input working, but no audio or controls, back in May.

Audio and controls where implemented back in June:
In July, Twisted was able to add a GUI, and almost randomly stumbled on a way to get the PS4 Wifi password, meaning people can connect wirelessly if they choose to.
Twisted then went more or less radio silent for a while, with people wondering if he’s given up on the project (given how popular his Android Remote Play app is, there is no question about the PS4 Remote Play PC project being real)
So here’s the tiny bit of news: there is not release date at this point, and no official news for a few months, but Twisted has confirmed to me that he is still actively working on this, doing his best to get it ready for an Alpha release. The basic functionality is in here already as can be seen on the videos, so it’s a matter of polishing the Alpha for a release. As always, real life has a habit if getting in the way, so patience is the name of the game.
In the meantime, you can try to use PS4 Remote Play on your PC through an Android emulator. Yeah, that’s pretty meta but it seems to work.
What would be super interesting for me of course would be a big writeup on his Reverse-engineering process. One has to assume there’s lots of obfuscation going on in the official Sony app…
