Developer Red-EyeX32 recently released the Playstation 4 package finder, a useful tool that will give you details on ps4 package files, including games, as well as the urls to download them.
Now, before everyone and their grandmother jumps the gun, being able to download a game directly from Sony’s servers does not mean you will be able to activate or install it. Sony’s digital games have been known for a while to be publicly available for download since the dawn of the PSN, but they are, obviously, encrypted.
PS4 Package Finder however gives a bunch of additional information on specific games, such as the latest update version, size of the download, and minimal firmware requirement.
This could turn out to become a pretty useful tool for some of us.
How to use PS4 Package Finder
- Find the Title ID of the game you are looking for by adding “cusa” at the end of your search. For example, searching for “Uncharted 4 cusa” tells me that the product code for Uncharted 4 is CUSA-00341.
- Go to https://www.orbismodding.com/
- Enter the title ID in the PS4 PKG Finder’s Title ID box, without any spaces, dashes, or anything. In my case, “CUSA00341”
- Press Search, you should get the details of the app/game
