Disclaimer from Aurora: While I have contacted Srident on Twitter/Reddit and he seems like a nice person, neither I nor Wololo can guarantee anything. The decision to buy one is yours to make and there’s adequate buyer protection from eBay/PayPal so you should be covered. Read eBay/PayPal’s buyer protection documents in order to know where you stand. As always, I support members of the community more than large Asian manufacturers so I appeal to you to support them too as you’ll be getting a superior product made with love for the community!
Modsiah’s 150 adapters (see note below as more are coming soon) were vaporized in an instant so now, you have your second (and third and fourth etc) chance to acquire your adapter! This time, it’s Srident’s adapter, which we covered earlier this month, that’s up for order!
What’s the SD2Vita adapter?
In a nutshell, it’s an adapter that lets you use microSD cards on your PSVita. You just have to put it in your gamecard slot and use your microSD card as ux0 or uma0 after setting it up. To set it up, check the article linked at the bottom of the post.
Great! How can I order it then?
It’s better you know some facts before ordering it regarding buyer protection and whatnot:
- The price is €15 and you have to pay €1.20 shipping (applies to all countries). If you have pre-ordered it, check your mailbox as you’ll get a link to get it for €13.50 instead!
- You can buy the adapter off eBay, which is a websites that accepts PayPal, so if you feel you’ve been wronged simply contact eBay buyer’s protection.
- The adapter is based on Xyz’s design with Gadoarch’s modification to make it simpler to produce.
- When you order the adapter, you will not get a case so you’ll only get a bare PCB. Cases for the adapter that you can insert in your Vita may pop up later – Adapter cases may not be compatible with SD2Vita adapters they weren’t designed for due to small differences in physical dimensions.
- For your convenience, the adapters are tested and are fully working.
- Shipping should take about 3-10 days depending on where you live as these come from France.
- The microSD card socket is gold-pinned for better durability.
- The adapter only works on FW 3.60 so 3.61+ won’t work.
The above is based upon public information and some questions I asked personally to Srident myself in which he answered to clear up any misconceptions. Now then, go press on the eBay link below and get your SD2Vita adapter before they sell out!
It seems that Srident will be posting links on Twitter so check those out or your mailbox if you pre-ordered.
Check out Srident’s Twitter to get the latest link for the next batch! They should be up at about 7-7:30PM GMT+2 tomorrow
