While the PSVita is a great console to spend hours playing games on, time isn’t always on our side. That being said, you can play quite a few homebrew mini-games on your PSVita and this article exposes some more great mini-games you could play on the go!
1. StarKiller 2D
This homebrew game is an original homebrew game that’s developed by ‘Freakler’
(the guy who did Adrenaline Easy Installer). In this game, you need to pass through all the stars to get to the exit BUT you can’t step on a star twice so you have to be very careful not to lock yourself in and make the level unplayable. To control the game, you have to use the d-pad and some of the face buttons; the UI is pretty neat and it explains exactly what each button does while in-game. It has 54 levels so you ought to stay entertained for a while and there’s even a level editor if that’s not enough!
2. Hendoku
As the name suggests, this is a Sudoku game for the PSVita and a great one at that since it has a clean UI and a great control scheme. It was developed by GBATemp user “Kuni59” in the early HENkaku days (August 2016) and it includes many difficulty settings so you can tailor it to your level of Sudoku skill. To change the numbers, you have to use the L/R triggers and I can confirm it works quite well.
3. Pickr VITA
The game’s a pretty simple game in which you have to touch the tile that has a slightly different colour from the rest. While it sounds easy, don’t be fooled as it’s sometimes pretty tough to distinguish which colour is the different one. The game’s a port of Pickr3DS and was ported to the Vita by “Joel16”. Overall, I’d say it’s a decent way to pass a few minutes.
4. Flyer Deathmatch
This game is somewhat like CSPSP but you control a spaceship rather than a person. You are in a team with other computer controlled spaceships and you must annihilate the other team which is composed of computer controlled spaceships. There is a large range of settings you can change including choosing a different map so this game ought to keep you entertained for a while if you like this genre of games. It was developed by “vladgalay” of Wololo /talk forums.
5. GNU Robbo
Like StarKiller 2D, it is a GekiHEN entry but unlike StarKiller 2D, this is a game port rather than an original game. In this game, you control a robot through a maze to finish levels that contain various obstacles. It was ported over by “bomblik” and is a must-have if you like 2D maze-like games from the MS-DOS era! It can also get pretty tricky since you could be forced to restart a level if you waste your bullets or explode a rocket in an improper place.
Conclusion
To install all these games, you can either grab the VPK off VitaDB or install them directly via VHBB. Follow the links below if you wish to get the direct links to them and make sure to report any bugs to the respective developers of each homebrew.

Vita Homebrew Browser (VHBB): http://vitadb.rinnegatamante.it/#/info/205
It is recommended you get VHBB as it makes installing homebrew much faster. Pong for the PSVita wasn’t included because it doesn’t have a computer controlled paddle which makes it quite boring to play alone.
