ShellSecBat V6/7 released: FW 3.68 and xmc0 support
ShellBat, developed by nowrep, is one of the most popular plugins for the PSVita as it allows you to see the battery percentage in the status bar.
You can now see your battery percentage and other information in the status bar even on FW 3.68!
It’s very useful because Sony’s official way of displaying how much battery is left isn’t very accurate and the battery icon can be full even though the charge is around 50%! OperationNT’s ShellSecBat, which is a fusion of ShellBat and LastSeconds, got the following updates:
- Support for FW 3.68 by nowrep – V6
- xmc0: support, for seeing how much space is left, which is useful for SD2Vita users on FW 3.68 by BenMitnicK- V7
Apart from displaying the battery percentage, it can also displays seconds, the date and how much space you have left in a specific partition. To get this plugin, simply follow the link below.
Auto-h-encore 0.3.2 released
Auto-h-encore, a tool that makes installing h-encore much easier, is still being updated!
As installing h-encore isn’t as easy as opening a webpage and letting the magic happen, developer ‘noahc3’ decided to release a tool which automates most of the process. Like all good developers, ‘noahc3’ is still pushing out updates for his software so that it works flawlessly and has all the features one may need.
Auto-h-encore 0.3.x brought along:
- Multi-language support, with languages such as Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Russian being supported
- Automatic grabbing of the AID (which is needed to encrypt the h-encore backup so that you could install it) from the registry if QCMA had already recorded it from previous usage.
- Improved error handling and code clean-ups

Using VitaDB with less hassle via QR codes
Unfortunately, Vita Homebrew Browser (VHBB) isn’t working properly as some of its data sources require TLSv1.2 support, a type of encryption that it doesn’t support.
Thanks to QR code scanning, you can get homebrew from VitaDB without the added hassle of transferring VPKs via FTP/USB!
To get around this without using FTP, you can use the QR code feature found in VitaDB to directly grab and install VPKs via VitaShell. To use VitaDB’s QR code feature, you have to do the following:
- First of all, your PSVita needs to be running FW 3.67 or 3.68 as only those firmwares support TLSv1.2!
- Go on VitaDB on a computer, tablet or smartphone and select the homebrew you wish to install.
- Press ‘Get QR code (VPK)’ and you’ll get a QR code. Remember to get the data files if the homebrew you want needs them.
- Open VitaShell on your PSVita and hold the left and right trigger; you should hold them till you see a viewfinder in the middle of your screen.
- Point your PSVita towards the QR code and follow the on-screen instructions to install the VPK
While this isn’t as seamless as using VHBB, it’s still quicker as you don’t have to copy the VPKs you downloaded via FTP/USB!

- Molecule Boot Logo Manager by SKGleba was updated to 5.1 which supports h-encore on FW 3.65. With this homebrew, you can chooses between the official and the HENkaku Enso boot logo on FW 3.60 and 3.65 devices

- The Italian version of TF Card Tool by TheHeroGAC was updated with FW 3.68 support.
- PSVita Storage Manager by CelesteBlue was updated to v1.2 which brings FW 3.68 support.
- The vanilla version of ShellBat by nowrep got updated to R8 which brings FW 3.68 support as well.
