The GekiHEN contest ended on 19th March but that didn’t stop some developers from pushing some last minute updates to make their homebrew even better. ePSP Bubble Installer, which allows you to install an ePSP for Adrenaline/ARK without activation, Project Void, the first 3D homebrew game with Sony’s SDK, have been updated. Another homebrew called ‘AppDB Tool’ was released which is a handy-tool for those wanting to mess around with their PSVita/TV.
ePSP Bubble Installer v3.1
Developed by ‘CelesteBlue’, this homebrew is one of the most well-known homebrew in the contest as it allows the user to do something previously thought impossible. Allowing all owners of 3.60 Vitas, activated or not, to install an ePSP bubble to use Adrenaline/ARK has, without a doubt, made it one of the most mentioned homebrew out there. The latest update is simply a bug fix release that the bubble removal function.
Project Void 0.0.3
The first 3D game by ‘Akabane87’ got updated with quite a long list of features. Improving the camera, a bunch of bug fixes and graphical improvements are the main features in this release. If you want to check out all the updates, check out the GekiHEN link at the bottom of the article; it’s a VERY long list.
Appdb Tool 1.1
This little tool, by devloper ‘luckys’, is quite simple but it could save you a lot of headaches if you like messing around. The main feature is that you can update your database or completely rebuild it WITHOUT losing your icon/folder layout which makes database updates 200% less of a headache. Using it is pretty simple as you have the instructions on how to do so on screen when you open it. By pressing the L Trigger, you trigger an update; the R trigger wipes the database and the ‘X’ button restores your layout but you must wait a few seconds for it to function.
Conclusion
The GekiHEN contest has brought us quite a lot of homebrew and we’re all very grateful to all the developers that have dedicated their time to expand our homebrew library. Make sure you get all the homebrew in this article from the official GekiHEN links from the bottom of this articles as to avoid malware.
